I feel your expectations are a little high and I actually feel that more drilling will have been done. i feel testing etc will also be faster. i feel preps to lab are far faster. i feel movement of cores is so much more efficient now and saving lots. that lab set up was not due to july is looking to be very busy I would think.
work on 5000 metres a month based on about an average of 200 metres a week per drill on one shift or 2 shifts at 400 and that i believe is whats happening.
ive bene asking questions about drills on standby. why on standby if we are in a rush?
Well the answers have come that there was a bottle neck at Lubumbashi. the site had developing amenities but hardly enough maybe for the crews and support required. At least supplies can get in far easier and now and cores out and now far cheaper to fly out.
My calcs would say we are moving 1/45 th of what we were to Perth labs from the site.
Im sure there would be other logistics. the wet certainly delayed us. these drill cores may weight well over a ton each and near 1.5 ton. How did they get down south? Air or road? the drill rigs im unsure of their detail but id guess there horsepower range would be between 100 to 160 HP each, as they are not big ones. a rule of thumb in calcs for fuel is that you get 20 HP out of one gallon (4.54 litres) per hour.
Lets say a 140 HP rig burned fuel for 24 hours a day 5 days a week. this is 1,813.6 litres per rig each week x 6 = 22,881.6 per week of fuel. I'll have to ask that over a beer at the next AGM. (I used to burn 1200 litres a shift in my tractor years ago, so its not a lot). But how was this shifted when the roads were tough going and rigs were short of fuel. I bet we had to fly it in at 5 or $10,000 a load in freight. I can see now why KL had them on standby in his media. he was saving us money that wouldn't have progressed us further due to bottlenecks. Hind-site says this lab should have been prioritized. But materials are hard to com by there i would gather, not even a Mitre10 close by. Its also very expensive there for materials and planning is required to bring this in on trucks like 8 wheel drives. that's heavy and expensive logistics. it will be behind us soon with major progress to the roads occurring.
finally, the road is not for ore shipments in my opinion. we will have far cheaper options.

    Did i get side tracked?
