Yes I did notice that but must say I am amazed that the share is only down 11.5% year on year given the basket of investments. I used to own 1 share when it was around $127000 it went down to $100,000 and I decided to hang in and sold when it was just above break even because it was a geared investment. I sold it because it was supposed to get you into the shareholder meeting but I could never afford to go to it anyway - I never held again.
He is an interesting player and I suppose I do believe his motto. I worked briefly for a similarly viewed individual Claas Daun who had purchased textile factories in Germany when they had been going through a crisis. He has not had the same success but always said if there is conflict and decay you should go looking because there are always cheap businesses to be bought.
I still think that this investment could be good but in reality it has to be brave and do things very differently than a bunch of bookworms would do in my opinion.
