Maybe its a capper, as soon as the shares look like selling they will be moved higher? Some years ago my broker asked me to buy some shares at a price and said they would be bought at a fixed higher price two or three months down the track. It all worked out and I made an easy profit, maybe there are people holding ESG shares on a similar arrangement so that when the takeover comes there are already a block of share that they know will transfer to the offer.
