If you are going to jump at shadows, then I'm not sure holding a share in a company where the post covid economics are still uncertain and it also has a high multiple is necessary good for your mental health
Plenty of macro factors impacting this company (although not only this company): high interest rates, business uncertainty about growth and therefore travel budgets, challenge around needing corporate travel as much, a couple of wars (including in Europe a key market), economic malaise in greater China (again another key market), negative sentiment from UK deal, negative sentiment from revised guidance down (normally they don't come in isolation), etc etc
If you are buying these companies, you really need to understand the economics: - 1H24 NPAT of 33.5m and EPS of ~34c - FY24 guidance indicates ~20% growth on 1H (based on underlying EBITDA): - so say high end FY24 NPAT is ~74m & EPS of ~75c - & low end it equals 1H so FY24 NPAT is ~67m & EPS of ~68c
At the current price of $13.10, that means that it is trading at 17-19 times earnings.....hardly cheap given all the uncertainty I mentioned above.
They report earnings on the 21st of August .....not inconceivable that the price could go below $10 and even then, it would be 13 times earnings.
