I suspect (but couldn't guarantee) that buybacks often stop coming in to the reporting (blackout) period. I have noticed a few stocks where the buy backs seem to have paused.
Clearly there is doubt on earnings though and this is unlikely to move higher until that is cleared up. No confession as yet so I expect that they will meet the last guidance.
