From what I have ascertained (and a rude awakening btw) from a very smart and generous person here, Saragian, "Game of Attrition" is what is happening here when there is no news and no outside market forces at play. Basically its a war or Game Theory, where you outlast your opponent wither in business or life in general. "Survivor" is a good comparions. our wit, out play, out last. The most basic of games just like a game of "Chicken". Thats whats being played with retail investor long holders. Algorithmic traders, correct me if Im wrong ...anyone please, are either shorting (28000 or so in play atm) or playing a similar game with long holders and eachother and the big fish too to make a buck. A long retail investor does not have a hope in hell except to get off next time the ride slows downor hang on for dear life. Just my perception of it all. I hope that helps.
