The Mt Thirsty cobalt mine is a big, readily accessible resource suitable for an open cut mine, located near ports and other transport infrastructure in a geopolitical stable country like Australia, as opposed to the large resources located in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The ore is in a form which can easily be processed.

The price of cobalt is going up. The potential is if the price of cobalt continues to rise and possibly return to some of the highs from nearly 10 years ago. This is a real possibility given the use of cobalt in lithium ion batteries.
