Seems Tony Abbott fans kannnt handle the trooooth!

In that post you then went on to say;
"... Trouble with Gillard - she'll dish out anything in order to buy votes. ..."

Well therein lies inconsistency - Abbott's actions are aimed at appealing to those who want to encourage higher fertility rates, to those on really high incomes and to those who like the idea of a 6 month break on full pay at government expense.

Now that's porkbarrellling!

Nor do I support Julia Gillard's PPL; my preference is for government to invest in productive areas essential to a sustainably enriched future.

Supporting vulnerable people in society is an essential role for government and schemes like Peter Costello's 'Baby Bonus' and Abbott's rolled gold PPL at the expense of the needy [eg. scrapping the schoolkids bonus] is sickening!
