Tony Abbott has made an artform out of media stunts and by shirking the tough interview, walking off from probing media throng questions and nodding uncontrollably when cornered; Abbott has created his own media construct.

For someone who has dished out as much dirt as Abbott to be crying foul is reminiscent of the bully who breaks down and sooks when held to account for his behaviour.

As an Opposition Leader Abbott has been the rabid attack dog, the killer wabbitt and el destructo that has smashed everything standing between him and power.

Abbott cared nought that his comments damaged the economy during the GFC and its enduring aftermath as he tried in vain to bring down the government. To date he has not offered an alternative future to that the government is working towards.

It's even taken until today for Abbott to publicy acknowledge that mainstream Australians want The Opposition to spell out the alternative future they will aim to deliver.
