Foreign speculators have quite a bit of fast money in Australia, banks offer better yield than bonds, but as the $A is a commodity currency, as Oz is mainly a commodity economy internationally, money will move out if commodity prices look like falling as result of trade battle between US and China.
$A is falling, so they sell shares, a lot of them bank, and the money goes elsewhere. These are big holdings, a lot of them. Institutions.
