For what?
Only violent people who are a threat to to others should be in prison. Non-violent offenders or people who have committed victimless crimes either should not be punished at all or given a punishment that is appropriate to the crime and duly compensates the victims. But if you are talking about murder, rape, premeditated violence etc then fair enough.
