That attitude was the result of my earlier negative experience with males. It was never needed to be "taught" but it got acquired along the way. I thought that was made very clear by my long post. If females keep being put down, they are likely to rise to the challenge and indeed match them in their spheres of study or work. That was a good thing for me.
The opposite attitude (to the one I learned from my office experiences) is taught in schools today. Here is an example.
I liked the attitude of the nurse who was confronted by a male, pleasuring himself in her view, while sitting opposite her on a train - she said loudly, "You can put that away, I see many of those in my job every day." The man was embarrassed as everyone in the carriage turned around to look as he quickly tried to dress himself back to respectability. lol
Believe me, young women today have become very well aware of their rights and schools support this.
