as i found out yesterday, the below "RUMOUR OF THE DAY" was in yesterdays paper The Western Australian.
could this have been the reason for trading halt..????

RUMOUR OF THE DAY - The West Australian July 7 05
Investors raced into Nido Petr. yesterday, sending shares up 1.1c to 9.7c. Talk in the market is the West Perth company will sign an oil exploration deal with the Philippines energy authority, allowing it to start drilling shortly. Market watchers say Nido has a deal with Netherlands based Vitol Group to finance Nido's proposed SC-14 venture at the Galoc oilfield off Palawan.
