That has actually already been thought about per a recent article I read before Christmas which I think was in The Australian
Yes the USA does have the capacity to manufacture them and all the design/engineering is held in duplicate with the working sets in Taiwan and a secure set in the USA. Any updates to designs are transferred by a secure line on a daily basis to the USA
If Taiwan is invaded the whole lot on Taiwan gets vapourised by the various owners with the owners/manufacturers reverting to a USA home base.
That has actually already been thought about per a recent...
