Santos plans to sell its Mereenie Gas Field, which is estimated to be worth $100 million, as well as other assets in the Browse Basin. Armour Energy is also considering offloading about $100 million of assets in the Northern Territory and Karoon Gas is looking for partners for almost $1 billion worth of projects, the national daily reported.

A billion worth or projects???? hardly we have a market cap of 600,000 million must be a mis print

STO - "One thing we feel quite PASSIONATELY about is the best way for the Browse to be developed through collaboration with other operators and the collaboration may involve aggregation of some Gas says John Anderson Senior VP of STO

"It's a quality reservoir and it will come to market it is just a question of when". he said

"These positions are hard to come by." Mr Anderson says " We know that Browse will play a strong role in Australia going forward and STO would like to be a part of that."


Is this interesting reading??? and i quote from the same article....

' Santos already notched up the Crown discovery east of Poseidon in November put up at 5 trillion cubic feet. That has prioritised the drilling of similar nearby targets Grande and Lasseter.'

These excerpts are from the AFR article on the 27/05/2013 nearly one year on.....

So what are STO selling in the Browse as today's article suggests?

STO's Crown discovery is also interesting as KAR's interested the same shelf and recorded very similar metres but tested results were not 100% conclusive due to the sidetracking...we still got the highest readings of montara in the area yet the shelf flowed through two sections and we could not test exclusively each shelf which would have given KAR a far better (so lets say very similar reading to STO's Crown).

So what gives now hat STO - what are they selling in Browse a year on from above????
