I had a trip overseas to Phu Quoc island where they use mainly EV. The air was so clean! Then I travelled to mainland Vietnam, it was hell on the street. No wonder why China is pushing to clean up the air in its cities using EV and others are following. Europe wants to do this. It will take time as EV is still expensive. I think Singapore will go EV first as it is building a cable to take solar energy from our NT to Singapore. Australia should follow Singapore soon after. Darwin may be the first in Australia to go EV way.
