Thats weird saying that the asx thinks of profits in hours not part years when a lot of shorters on the ASX are US companies or based. Anyhow, each to their own. Just weird how most banks have gone bust in the USA and none on the ASX have gone under, including the GFC. Seems the yanks take more risks than us, doesnt it. They need to stop dabbling in bonds and holding them too long. Must say I would agree with your $6.50 call, just not at October last year. Things in my inexperienced mind seemed more optimistic then and I have no forsight when banks are going to shit themselves yet the Feds are bold and still increasing rates. Something underlying is up. Seems I have to leave that to the big players. Today, I do think $5.50 will come and I dont envisage $9aud again for over 12 months. The nastie economy noise is getting louder and the whole financial commentary tone has been downbeat in the past month.
