Repeat something that they wish to happen often enough and they will believe in their own imagination. Somehow, the imagination will become reality.
New facts and developments are irrelevant.
1. A partner that has spent millions of dollars walking away for zero consideration. IRRELEVANT.
2. Uncertain future funding sources. IRRELEVANT.
As for admitting their mistakes? How could such a question be raised in the first place?
