The major concern non-shareholders have is from your example. Mogul gave you a keyboard worth $169 for "nothing" while you gave Blizzard $100. The better investment stands out from that equation.
People aren't willing to lose money by playing on this platform so Mogul's path to revenue is partnerships. But as Mogul doesn't have players it can mainly only offer money or their platform. But as we've seen over the last few years, their platform fails to convert frequent users.
If they get 5-10% of their target of paying subscribers and those subscribers stay I would be absolutely amazed and would definitely be interested in investing. But history suggests they won't.
