It’s a presentation titled Myc in cancer: targeting an engine, not a driver, given by Professor Gerard Evan, Dept of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge, at Oncology at the Limits 2015, which was held in Amsterdam in February.
Evan explains the role of Myc in cancer formation and growth and its partnering relationship with RAS. He uses mouse model research to examine both the effectiveness of Myc inhibition in tumour reduction and its potential side effects. He concludes that targeting Myc offers a very profound opportunity for therapeutic intervention in cancer.
