you need an app because spt only works on the merchants it's acquired , you can't just use spt anywhere a MasterCard or visa card works and as customers are extremely lazy. they need to make it as frictionless as possible to use spt, the customer still has to search for a product intergrated with spt in order to use it at checkout. the first thing they're gonna do is look for an app and not find one. but they'll find afterpay and zip straight away through the google search function and instead just use them.
