Why no National State of Emergency ???

Given fires raging across the country, people being evacuated, power and communication down????

Isn't the Department of Home Affairs supposed to protect Australians on our home soil? What is Minister Dutton doing to respond to the Australian Fires? Or is Dutton holidaying with the NSW Emergency Minister?

Some are speculating main reason Morrison wouldn't/won't declare state of national emergency is because in that event Home Affairs Dept, ie Dutton would be in charge of events with his visage & words all over the media. That would likely trigger libspill
