Why no speeding ticket

The GXY share price has fallen from mid $4 to mid $1 for no real reason at all. In the last week it has dropped from about 1.78 to 1.52 once again for no real reason (in fact, the information in the latest quarterly report was good, and a lot of concerns people had about things like shipping were explained). I have seen the ASX issue please explain notices for a lot less. Why has there been no notice issued to GXY?

Also there was commentary posted on Hotcopper yesterday referring to the company (who?) explaining that the shorting is due to the high institutional ownership. Can someone tell me the source of that information. I have thought for a long time that the company should have given some advice to shareholders about what it considered to be the reasons for the share price decline and the shorting company. It seems some news outlet has been told something by someone within the company, but that as per usual there has been nothing said to shareholders.
