Yeah, have you been into an "old timer" mine though?

Spaces you have to crawl through, ore excavated with hand tools. 45 degree slopes for wagons to be handled up and down. Crazy work. And no way these methods would stand up to modern health and safety legislation.

Spent a bit of time consulting on the Woods Point (Vic) development recently. The historic works were insane. The new works were big enough to get a small bogger into. With all the extra rock you have to excavate the EXM resource just won't be economic.
