Besides which Sepon, the only OZL operation in Laos is being assumed by Minmetals so there's no natural reason to merge with PNA (whose sole operation is in a somehat dubious area just north of Vientiane). Chances are Martabe will be sold off - so there'd be no near-term presence in SE Asia.
Re comments: "proven CEO Gary Stafford"; "proven team under gary stafford capable of bringing it to production" -a close assessment of the 'environmental' incidents at Phu Kham a few years would probably arouse serious circumspection... Have you ever met the guy???
Am all for changing the feckless goose (AM) but only with a quality fit who has the stuff to strategically rebuild the new company.
