Now if what is quoted that the minning companies gained 80 billion on normal profit and the Australian goverment only gained 9 billion in tax then i can see merit in what the goverment is trying to do for the rest of Australia .Now the top paying wage earners get taxed far more then this and is still eight percent above the new tax on the minning industry.I also think because they pay no gst ? As is an export company that they have huge gains over the rest of us anyway .Happy to be corrected on that but im sure export companies are gst free. Its a ten percent rise in tax on the super normal profit just like when you move into a higher tax bracket on salary.Whats wrong with that the rest of us put up with it.Am i wrong? Its ten percent rise on your normal rate of tax ie 30% If the price of your goods double for the same output and costs then yes i cannot see whats wrong with paying an extra ten percent.
