Lets make no mistake , for me ..Certainly I much prefer Equities ..always have , been shot down previously for saying so .

However Property certainly has its place and Im pretty sure the well informed here at Hotcopper would have exposure to property even if it were only their principle place of residence . The crazy part of the principle is that you could time the " tops and bottoms " to sell in a particular suburb and buy the same property back at a lower price . What a ridiculous stategy ( in inner Melbourne anyhow ) ..different if you wish to move to Queensland or the like .

Property should form a part of any genuine wealth building portfolio .
