At this moment in time, Carnegie is right out in front of the world when it comes to developing smart wave farm technology.
They are in the position where they can put into practice most of what is contained in the link because they have a working multi device array.
In so doing, they are accumulating knowledge and expertise that will one day become a saleable commodity.
IMO this aspect of wave energy technology development is equally important as the engineering side.
Other companies are no doubt working toward the same objectives but are somewhat restricted to using single devices, whether it be in the ocean or in wave tanks.
Sometimes we get frustrated by the lack of progress being made on the current project but the complexity of the work being done cannot be rushed. If they can get it right, the wait will have been very worthwhile.
