In this case YF was looking to get his science to the benefit of patients as effectively as possible. PH and LC convinced him that they would help achieve just that. The IMU licence contains conditions that gives YF major influence over the technology progression to market. PC has assured that such pre existing conditions are inherited by any future new owner. Therefore anyone wanting to shelve this tech. to preserve their bottom line will have to get around Yuman Fong. Good luck with that one BP!
