Methoxy is not truly self administered either. It's more akin to a roller on an IV drip. It is only ever given by a medical practitioner in a sanctioned use. Have a look at the regulatory label stipulations I've posted previously.
As for addiction - one off use in an emergency setting is not enough to cause addition. Especially when controlled by a qualified professional.
That logic by those doctors is incredibly flawed. I'm honestly shocked... & very doubtful. Can I please have their names so I can never use them?
So the doctors exposed your wife to known liver & kidney risk if she were to find herself in an emergency situation in the mid term after that procedure. Because usually parameds have no idea of previous methoxy use, let a lone have time or a fully coherent patient to ask a proper medical history of. She could easily have repeated doses....
Think much much longer than 20 days. Last annual report has a graphic showing mid 2020 for FDA approval (see page 2).. I'd expect a slight delay to this, perhaps late 2020/early 2021. That's quite a while.
As for emesis, here's a study investigating it. Occurs in about 8% of sedations with a skew towards children, i.e. adults is less than 8% & children is more.
