the pressure applied by Trump on so many sectors of govt, law and election regulation as well as Pence shows just how Trump felt that his belief in himself, opposed to everyone who didn't agree with him, was paramount and should take precedence over laws and regulations.
Pence would have felt this pressure most keenly.
