I gave up after I had to drive the father of the family I was staying with to hospital while his body was trying to have a massive second heart attack. He was half way through a ciggie. I couldn't bring myself to smoke in front of him after that. He was a 30yr+ smoker who had had a heart attack 6 years earlier. He was too staunch to call an ambulance. He had a bypass and a stent put in. That half ciggie was his last and that was 11 years ago.

You can give up if you want to. It's about getting perspective on what smoking does to you and keeping that reality front of mind when you have to decide whether you are going to light up in a stressful time.
