Firstly, PLV is a large proportion of my portfolio.

Several posters query why PLV is not presently attractive to the market. This is why.

- Small project
- Low grade, with impurities
- Uncertainty on indigenous issues
- Uncertainty on environmental issues
- Uncertainty on how big the project is. If the overlying sandstone is not economical to be processed then the project will have huge strip ratios and opex
- Very small footprint ? where do you place the waste?
- Very small footprint ? where do you place the tailings, even if dewatered?
- Uncertainty on the process being able to reliably extract the impurities
- Uncertainty on the project?s position on the cost curve and competitiveness
- Note some bearish iron ore price forecasts for next few years as substantial supply kicks in
