Jumping the gun there. These are political targets and by definition and experience will not be achieved.
Politicians seeking office always make promises they think the voters want to hear. When those promises are decades into the future they can be even more extravagant in their promises. Especially when they know the general population has the attention span of a gnat.
In any case, Austria's targeted reduction in CO2 will make even less difference to global emissions and CO2 warming than Australia's.
No doubt Austrian climate alarmists are claiming this wonderful target will inspire China, India, Russia and USA to similarly cut their actual emissions.
Yeah right.
Virtue signalling might feel good but I sure hope you have a plan B that corresponds to what is actually happening on the global emissions front.
