To be fair, when you have politicians such as Craig Kelly, Barnaby Joyce, Michael McCormack,Tony Abbott, Donald Trump etc, you can kind of understand why people twist off.
That's not an excuse for Extinction Rebellion to block traffic btw but you get what I'm saying.
I am in full agreement that it is hurting the discussion by the extremists at either end of the discussion. Arguably this goes back ten years or more with the cancelling of the carbon tax, the cancelling of the NEG, lack of domestic gas reserve etc. Systems that could have been instigated and modified to suit the industry as it evolves would have avoided many of these problems.
Shifting to low emission technology is inevitable. It is happening regardless of the denial. All they are doing is making it more expensive rather than engage and making it smoother.
