    Here is an except from a recent article with a focus on Australians and why the retirement of a great deal many of them is going to be a myth....

    But these are turbulent times. History tells us that the unthinkable can happen. And we in Australia are mere bystanders, right? Actually, no we're not. We are obliged by our Government to put a portion of our wages into a superannuation fund whose managers invest in shares. That gives us a ringside seat to the next financial crisis wherever the epicentre might be. And now I hear those same super fund managers are now lending (for a fee) our share scrip to hedge funds and the like so they can short the stock - and trash the value of our funds in the process.
