There was a good article in the Australian today in the Business section on super and the Henry report and it points out the size of the industry that has grown from super and the the unintended consequences for the amount of lawyers,financial planner and accountants the industry has spawned.
Because of the cost of super tax breaks to the country's tax system it now outweighs the benefits but it would be like unscrambling eggs to attempt a change it.
