announcement I would have thought that the contents of this announcment were already assumed by everyone, even blind freddy.
One therefore has to suspect why do it now, when the stocks about to go ex entitlement.
* Pressure from a bidder
* ASX has them in their sights
* Directors jumping at shadows
* Underwriters want the share price lower so they are a better chance of picking up a nice parcel
* Clearing the decks for another issue down the track

Why didn't they just write it down at 30 Jun 05 like everyone else?

I know there's a requirement to keep the market informed, but for F sake, this is rediculous!
