Charlie, my take on it is the following
- assuming Leyland votes with Peter & Piperoglot
- assuming Peter & Piperoglot return all funds to shareholders (we don't know yet as no one has seen their members statement, hence all speculation)
29% vs 31% on the surface - Scanlon is ahead. However Peter was the CEO for over 12 years and one would think long term shareholders would love 30c + cash. 35% approx of share register are holders of less than 5%. One would assume Peter will be ringing all of these People.
So in conclusion the balance of power I think is with Peter & Piperoglot
