Rare earth metals are a bit on the nose lately and stories like Hitachi producing a electric motor without rare earth metals, probably does not help. There is also talk of wind turbines being gearless and therefore not needing Neodymium, the number potential money spinner for PEK. But I also read where every attempt to produce an alternative to REE in products has been a complete failure. It will be interesting if we hear any more about this Hitachi Electric motors or will it just disappear and never be heard of again. There has already been several failures that I can recall.
I still am not convinced of any substitutes for REE and I am still a believer in the fundamentals of the company and the need for REE in the future. My opinion is that it will take about 2 years before anything significant may occur.
But this is just my opinion and for people who believe it will slip below 30 cents!! only time will tell.
