the company on a number of occasions has reitereated its intentions to buy back approx. 100m. shs over a 12 month period.

after a delayed start amu stared buying in earnest in the later half of february 2012. they have been buying approx 400,000 shares plus each trading day. and have currently bought back 20.5 m. shares.

contrary to your opinion of the directors, it is very much in their interests to complete the total buyback as most of them hold sizeable holdings in the company.
