why so negative on elm

Having just bought a bit of ELM recently, I have a general question for everyone on this thread.

On paper, aside from the fact that their property is on Congo,it looks an excellent speccie on paper - no debt, cash in the bank, great property.

Yet, when it comes to the ELM thread on Hotcopper, there's a heap of scorn for the management, and it goes back too far to really find the source on the thread, so I thought maybe some old hands could enlighten me.
