I saw that news article come through this afternoon and wondered what affect it will have.

PDG was ranked 373 with only a 0.05% weighting in the S&P/500 index.

S&P said the change is effective from July 19th. 5 other Canadian companies (incl. Barrick Gold and Inco) also being dropped. But all 5 remain part of S&P/TSX60.

Guess we'll know pretty soon what effect the removal will have.

Maybe the gap I watch will be filled.
