Vagif was caught between a rock and a hard place at the EGM. Impurities are assumed to be directly attributable to the ageing SibEx facilities, so it is hoped that the upgrade now furiously taking place will fix the problems. However, I am not so sure. If the impurities are a result of a flawed manufacturing pipeline, rather than just really old laboratory fittings, then much more work will need to be done before the RMOH can grant a provisional licence.

RMOH has delivered a checklist of requirements, and made it clear that there will be no tolerance for short cuts. The question of whether Solagran can deliver marketable quantities of complementary medicines like Ropren is still an open one. Clearly the Russian infrastructure is far short of the standards taken for granted in North America and Europe.
