Quite a good spin that NSE's main positive is that it has been one of the poorest (if not the worst) performing shale stocks (SP wise) this financial year.

Still, the only way to go from here SHOULD be up. The only negative will be if the market now treats 30c as the new high, and the long drawn out drilling program of well 2 (followed by an announcement with no specific information) causes the SP to drop lower.

This is priced to be in limbo. It'll be in limbo right up until we get some hard facts (first well lab results should hopefully give this a kick - they best be particular with the information and leave nothing for guesswork).

The market holds almost no value to shale in Australia at the moment. I held NWE right up until late last week at which point I realized the next ann (either good or bad) would result in a drop in SP. Luckily I was out of there at mid 7's. I guess this was one thing I learn't from NSE - announcements with no hard facts (but instead requiring future analysis/sampling etc) will be met with a harsh response. This is the nature of shale and it is still unfairly being compared to the a more conventional type of play.

Hopefully 2013 is the year that sentiment changes in our favor.
