Bobby, I think it is about time we deal with the issue of ramping. I can inform you that the ASIC is monoring this site to detect people who are deliberately ramping a stock - one way or the other in order to gain a market advantage. It is true that some can attempt to hype a stock for an ulterior motive with baseless conclusions, in order to gain advantage.
BUT if you have done research as I have, with a very large file of notes to back the work I have done and then I project the staus or prospects of a stock based on that research it is not regarded as ramping, but merely a reflection of reasonable conclusions I have drawn based on the research.
ASIC is most interested in those who are engaged in orchestrated down ramping, that is where a number of posters combine to encourage nervous holders to relinquish their holdings by virtue of the fear mongering - i.e. down rating prospects of a stock without proper basis, historical performance of a stock is not necessarily a defence on it's own.
All of this is not necessarily a prosecutable offence BUT if a "downramper" ACTS on the results if his/her actions - i.e. purchases the stock whilst at the same time engaging in the practice, they will be subject to prosecution. ASIC is very keen to stamp out the practice which in recent times has become far more common.
I have been accused on this site of working for GDN, which if true would also make me subject to prosecution for not disclosing my association, whilst at the same time promoting the prospects of the stock. I can confirm I have no association with GDN whatever other than as a holder of the stock. ASIC is welcome to investigate me to confirm that status. SURE I would like GDN to do well and I believe it will - I have also offered good based reasons as to why I draw that conclusion.
FAIR WARNING to those who are negative on the stock if you are silly enough to buy it at the same time - you will get caught and can end up in jail - DON"T DO IT!
