Suspect that stationary storage, where weight is not an issue, will eventually use tech other than Lithium Ion.
Maybe Liquid Molten Metal is the future. Don Sadoway, MIT and now Ambri, certainly spins a good story, although very much suspect that the devil remains within the detail.

Apparently the most effective application of this battery utilizes a lot Lithium Alloy, so for Lithium faithfuls the LMM Battery is the preferred alternative over more proven stationary tech such a Vanadium Flow.
