Take a look at the ACSI CEO Pay report FY21 which is the latest available.
Average for ASX 101-200 in FY22 was $2.45M (AUD). The median (less susceptible to outliers) was $2.2M (AUD). This is total realised pay which includes fixed remuneration as well as any share based bonuses / incentives that vested in that year.
It's not possible to compare DB's salary in FY21 because he started halfway through so it's not accurate. However, you can see that the average CEO salary is trending upwards from year to year. It increased by 22% from FY20 to FY21 and up 7% on average each year over the past 5 years. So the FY22 average is probably $2.7M if you assume a 10% increase.
DB's total FY22 remuneration was $2.65M in FY22 which is pretty much bang on average. I had thought originally thought the remuneration amount in the report was in NZD (since the rest of the report is NZD) but its actually AUD which makes it slightly better. Hope this helps
