Did you know that Woolies and Coles etc can sell organic produce from NZ and other countries, like blueberries?
With anything organic I have the view it can be eaten unwashed if I choose to.
I was really miffed to learn recently that all such importrd produce is sprayed with something revolting as part of the customs clearance protocol.
That means that whilst produce may have been organic in the country of origin, it is certainly not organic by the time it is sold to consumers in Australia.
On that basis it should be illegal to sell imported produce as organic.
