    You were right to be surprised.

    Not quite. I have trouble with those who prey on the vulnerabilities and different beliefs of others, especially when it is justified with qualifications such as "98% of those who profess to be Christians."
    It's good that you have glimpsed an example of the proper use of emotive language.

    Once again not quite right. It was relative ignorance of the Bible. Religion I know something about, though fortunately only as a keen observer both of what it is and what it is not.

    Be careful, your disdain is again distorting your perception.
    In my case no harm done, but it's not a good look for someone trying to be a Christian.
